Acupuncture
What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a holistic therapy that involves gently placing very thin needles at specific points on the body to support healing and overall well-being. While it’s often used to relieve pain, it’s also effective for managing stress, anxiety, and other health concerns.
How does it work?
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture works by balancing the body’s vital energy—known as chi or qi (pronounced “chee”)—which flows through pathways called meridians. When this energy is disrupted, it can lead to physical or emotional discomfort. By targeting key points along the meridians, acupuncture helps restore the natural flow of energy and encourages the body’s ability to heal itself.

Is it safe?
Yes! Acupuncture is a safe, natural, and drug-free therapy when performed by a licensed professional. All needles are sterile, single-use, and disposed of after each treatment.
Does it hurt?
Acupuncture needles are extremely fine, about the width of a human hair. Some people report they feel a slight pinch or a dull ache at the time of insertion and many don’t report feeling the needle at all!
